Steve grew up in Afton, Iowa and moved to Oelwein in 1976. He was the Elementary Principal for Oelwein Community Schools until his retirement in 2003. Steve and his wife, Sandy have four children, Vicki, Lisa, Todd and Tony and are members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Oelwein. He is also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Oelwein Lions Club and Oelwein Community Plaza Board. In his free time, he enjoys golfing and traveling. He has been employed at the funeral home since 2007.
